Welcome - this site is a showcase for two of the best home-built Jodel aircraft in the UK, possibly in Europe. They have been built by Alan Shipp in Yorkshire and were based at Full Sutton Airfield near York where Alan's first build, the D150 Mascaret, is still in residence. The D140 Mousquetaire has now moved to a new home and has attracted much attention, from the media as well as the aviation world.
St. Yan Fly-in, Central France:
The Man Délémontez - he say "Oui!" .... at the RSA International Fly-in at St. Yan in France on Saturday 17th July, Alan's Mousquetaire was inspected by the Designer of the D140, Jean Délémontez himself, aged 92 and still sharp - he spotted all of Alan's modifications.
Monsieur Délémontez was so impressed that he agreed to sign the rudder - the greatest accolade possible. However, when the judging was complete, the Mousquetaire had been awarded the Concours d'Elegance Cup as well!
